Moloch Worship in the 21st Century
Yes….it still goes on
There are many who say that the Bible is irrelevant for our times. They are wrong. There are some “Christians” who say that the Tanakh, or Old Testament, is irrelevant for Christians. They are also wrong.
My wife and I are continuing our read through the Bible in one year and are now in the Book of Jeremiah the prophet. Jeremiah warned that Jerusalem and the Kingdom of Judah would be destroyed by the Babylonians unless the people repented of their sins. Chief among them was the worship of false gods, including Moloch, the god that demanded child sacrifice. Jeremiah was told by the LORD (Jeremiah 32:35):
They built high places for Baal in the Valley of Ben Hinnom to sacrifice their sons and daughters to Molek, though I never commanded—nor did it enter my mind—that they should do such a detestable thing and so make Judah sin.
But the people continued to sacrifice their children to Moloch. Why?? Why would they do such a pointless exercise of “worship”? What sort of god would even demand such a thing?
The king of Judah rewarded Jeremiah by imprisoning him and throwing him into a cistern. The king believed other prophets who insisted that the Babylonians would not destroy the city and enslave the people. But they did invade….And when the Babylonians conquered the city, they released Jeremiah.
It is easy to dismiss the events in the Book of Jerimiah as either foolishness to even believe there is such a thing as “God”, or to think the inhabitants of Jerusalem were just backward people who, for some unexplained reason, thought that this god Moloch could actually do something for them. Perhaps, though, the truth is something more ominous…

My heart went out to this family for the loss of their child. How unfathomable and devastating this must be! Their grief, sadly, has been duplicated far too many times over the past few years, with the epidemic of unexpected deaths, particularly deaths of young, seemingly healthy people:
Is there any way to discover the root cause of this tragedy that seems to be happening with increasing frequency, or is it just some horrible coincidence? In contemplating all of this I have come away with a deeper understanding of the similarities between our times and those described by Jeremiah. I understand a bit more about the mindset of some of the inhabitants of Jerusalem who sacrificed their children and those who promoted that sacrifice. I understand the plight of Jeremiah. And most of all, I understand that repentance was, and is, all that is needed to be released from this profound Evil.
Despite the undeniable risks of the COVID mRNA vaccines, particularly to children, and the equally undeniable lack of benefit for pediatric patients as well as protection for society as a whole, our medical elite continue to push these agents on ever-younger individuals:

Why? I have seen no medical nor scientific rationale to support this. There is even uncertainty if the “updated” versions will protect against the new variants:
If there are no medical reasons for this action, we must look to other causes. The first thing that comes to mind is money. There is no doubt that these mRNA have made billions for some, but that cannot be the entire reason. It does not explain the zeal with which some people support this new genetic therapy. I think we need to look to non-physical elements, spiritual elements, to explain this. Two medical articles support this view.
The first is a recent (August 15, 2023) article by Sule, et al, that appeared as an original investigation in JAMA Network Open:

The title of the article, Communication of COVID-19 Misinformation on Social Media by Physicians in the US, pretty much says it all. It is amazing that this passed through the peer-review process. Briefly, the authors combed social media and two “news” sources (The New York Times and National Public Radio) with what they call a “mixed methods study” to identify 52 physicians guilty of what they term “misinformation” regarding COVID. Curiously, the statements of these physicians were not judged on the truthfulness of their statements but on whether they disagreed with the CDC’s proclamation at the time. The CDC has made a number of changes in their official position on various topics. It was unclear if the statements of “misinformation” agreed with subsequent changes in the CDC position and thus were actually right all along.
This article was rightly picked apart in the lay press for its lack of academic rigor, with quotes from academic physicians who saw through the weak methodology:

In this article in Western Journal of Nursing Research, Mansfield, at al, investigate Decision-Making about COVID-19 Vaccines among Health Care Workers and Their Adolescent Children. The authors conduct a very extensive review of literature and reference prior studies that indicate a high degree of vaccine acceptance by health care professionals and their likelihood of recommending vaccines to friends and family:
The actual receipt of the COVID-19 vaccine was seen as a “joyous occasion,” in the words of one physician, and was described by almost all parents as a “relief”. Parents described their adolescents’ pride in vaccination and their own pride, relief, and greater sense of protection as a result of having their adolescent vaccinated. A physician father stated, “Knowing we’re vaccinated, we do feel that sense of protection that we can be out in the community and feel comfortable without significant risk of getting COVID.” These comments reflected vaccine confidence on the part of parents and adolescents.
Regarding the differences in how the decision was shared with the adolescent child, there was a difference between physician parents and nurse parents:
Adolescent involvement in the decision-making for COVID-19 vaccination varied among physicians and nurses. Physician participants explicitly reported making the decision for vaccination for their adolescents, while nurses participants emphasized the importance of promoting adolescent autonomy and shared decision-making for vaccination.
Kudos for the nurses!
So how does this fit in with the experience of Jeremiah, the people of Judah and the worship of Moloch? The people of Judah were chastised for their worship of a false god and their descent into child sacrifice and faced punishment from the LORD for their actions. Jeremiah was sent to not only proclaim the dangerous course they were on, but to also emphasize that ceasing to worship the false gods would bring forgiveness. Jeremiah was rejected by the elites of the time, even though some of the ordinary people wanted to hear what he said. Those voices were overruled by the King, nobles, and the false prophets of the time. Jeremiah was imprisoned and only released when the Babylonians took Jerusalem.
Here in the United States, the rapid development of a novel corona virus presented what was continually and intentionally represented to the public as an existential threat. The only course of action offered by the medical elite was to sicken at home, with no therapy, until the person could not breathe. Then they should go to the hospital, be placed on Remdesivir (a drug that failed its randomized clinical trial https://journals.asm.org/doi/10.1128/aac.01117-21)
and a ventilator (which subsequently was shown to lead to a WORSE outcome (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC9821470/)
and wait for the “silver bullet” mRNA vaccine. Therapies, even simple increase in vitamin D, were denigrated and those who attempted them were (and continue to be) vilified by the agents of the state and the “false prophets” in academic medicine and the media. The zealots didn’t just want to refuse therapies for themselves, but wanted to insure that nobody else could make the decision for themselves! Why have they so adamantly sought to deny informed consent and individual choice for only this disease? For decades, physicians have had a duty to obtain informed consent from their patients, but then allow them to make the decision regarding their care. Why is this one disease the exception?
The touchstone of information in this article and in clinical care itself was only the proclamations of the CDC. Truth did not (and still does not) matter. Any critical thinking is denounced as “misinformation”, or the equally disgusting terms of “disinformation” and “malinformation”. The parsing of these modifiers of “information” is maddening, and when I hear anyone use these terms, I know they are not to be believed or trusted about anything, not just COVID.
Just as in ancient Jerusalem, the spiritual leaders recommended child sacrifice to the god Moloch as the only way of saving society. In our own time, use of these mRNA agents on children, who will reap no personal benefit nor convey a greater benefit to society by their action, is demanded by the state and the medical elites. As I write this, current news reports that the administration is on the cusp of demanding repeat masking and “vaccine” mandates:

Before the Babylonian invasion 26 centuries ago, the inhabitants of Jerusalem trusted their leaders, just as here many people trust our leaders and medical elites. In Jerusalem, this ended in disaster. In our time and place, the disaster is continuing to unfold.
This attempt at sensemaking has led me to the following conclusions. There is a profound Evil that has been associated with all aspects of the Great COVID Disaster. Over and above the physical aspects of the virus itself, there has been a great spiritual penalty society has paid for the experiences of the past 3 years. Unless there is accountability for the conscious actions, and not the “mistakes” due to imperfect understanding, the Evil will continue to infect our society. Witness a lawsuit currently working its way through the courts regarding the care given to a 19-year old young woman in a hospital in Appleton, Wisconsin:
If the allegations in the lawsuit are found to be true, it will force a reckoning on the part of all of us with the nature of Evil in our response to COVID.
We need to immediately stop our ongoing worship of Moloch by sacrificing our children on his altar! It is Evil to use our children as sacrifices to our ideology. Those responsible for its past and continued activity must not oversee our public health programs of the future.
This may shock some of you, but I don’t believe the idol of Moloch 2500 years ago was just a lump of stone or metal. It represented an actual Evil non-physical entity that demanded the blood of children. That Evil non-physical entity still exists, and many apparently still worship him….
There is a bitter harvest that will become magnified in the coming months and years. Those who lost a child or loved one to the epidemic of “sudden death from unknown cause” will need effective counseling in order to treat their grief. The same is true for those whose loved ones died alone from the effects of the lockdowns. Equally tragic are those who died without the chance to at least try “banned” therapies that, when finally allowed through court order, saved lives:
We must untangle the financial support of regulatory agencies by the very industry they presume to regulate. We must insure the integrity of medicine and scientific publishing so that data free from financial and political conflicts of interest. Finally, we need to restore the Jeremiahs among us. Those brave physicians, nurses and just ordinary people who sacrificed so much in an attempt to save us, must be brought out of the prisons of vilification into which they have been condemned. Those who put them there give an accounting for their actions. Only then, when justice finally prevails, will we be able to begin to heal from what will be known as The Great COVID Disaster, and avoid its repetition.
You let the doctors and nurses off too easily. They are complicit in mass murder and should be punished. Anyone who blindly follows authority to save their skins (and contents of their wallets) is a monster to me.
Our children are also being sacrificed through the chemical and surgical genital mutilation being promoted to minor children and tolerated within our culture. ~ Ginger
