Time to Wake Up!

In November 2022, one of my earlier substack articles talked about COVID being “Complex”,  Unfortunately, I feel I must revise my thinking as the world has spun even more out of control since then.

PLEASE read this article!  I can only summarize its findings here, but you need to fully understand its content to understand how critical our situation has become.  I first read this article in Harvard Business Review by David Snowden and Mary Boone in 2007.  It so disturbed me I sought out David Snowden and spent some time with him.  That was the start of my journey into Complexity Science.  The Complex Domain was an exciting and wonderful exploration.  It was like learning how to ride a bike for the first time.  But now, that bike ride may be coming to an abrupt end….

What happened in COVID?  We were faced with a novel virus that had not affected humans before.  We didn’t know where it came from, or those who did know didn’t tell us.  We thought that mathematical modeling would help us and made our plans on models that turned out to be based on wildly faulty data.  We tried to construct a huge Fail-Safe Strategy that would work everywhere.  And we were incredibly wrong.

But we did have the knowledge that had been the mainstay of pandemic treatments for decades.  The four pillars of treatment were: Contagion Control, Early Home Treatment, Late Stage Hospitalization and Vaccines:

This pandemic certainly fit the definition of the Complex Domain.  There was little certainty of outcome and little agreement on a course of action. But there were data available.  We were not in the Chaotic Domain where cause and effect had no relationship.  Cause and effect still worked….it was just that it could only be seen after the fact.   We needed to update our understanding based upon rapid re-assessment of the situation instead of formulating a plan and then putting it on auto-pilot.

 Multiple physicians who were on the front lines treating patients during the frightening early stage of this disease reported their results with various treatments.  These were the “multiple safe-fail experiments that are the way to operate in the Complex Domain.  Reports from doctors like Zev Zelenko, George Fareed, Brian Tyson, Pierre Kory, Paul Marik, Peter McCullough and many others too numerous to mention were indeed out there for all to see.

What was the response of our Public Health Leadership? Did they understand that such multiple approaches needed to be done in order to most expeditiously find the correct course to follow?  No, they did not!  For reasons that are yet to be fully determined (but will be, for sure!) all of the positive approaches were demonized in order to do nothing except social distance, lock down “non-essential” businesses like churches, but keep open those “essential” businesses like liquor stores, sicken at home and await the coming salvation of the “vaccine”.

However, I am very concerned that we either are falling, or have now fallen, off the edge of that Complex Domain and are now in the Chaotic….This is sobering.  To those who understand the use of “chaos” in Complexity Science, this is NOT what I mean.  I mean Chaos as it is used in normal conversation.  Even now, with all of the knowledge of the “lack of candor” on the part of our leaders in Public Health, medicine, politics, etc. we still deny the cause and effect regarding COVID!  We have reached the point where there is no truth…only ideology.

And it is not just with COVID.  We have seen an implosion of just about all of our institutions:

·      Medicine in general is lost.  The FDA seems to be beholden to their Lords of Big Pharma on just about everything. There has been NO ACCOUNTABILITY for The Great COVID Disaster.  None.  It just was the introduction to

The Great Ethical Collapse.

And even now, no accountability seems to be forthcoming, no matter how damning the evidence. Those who manipulated COVID and its response can testify in Congress about their actions and walk free while brave physicians who stood up for their patients’ right to Informed Consent, such as Mary Talley Bowden, MD, are harassed by out-of-control Medical Licensing Boards. Academic journals now have zero credibility, as every subject, not just COVID, seems to be susceptible to propaganda or profit.

·      The legal system is in the same straits.  “Beyond a reasonable doubt” and “innocent until proven guilty” are now farcical relics of a bygone era.  Criminals are set free, law-abiding citizens jailed.  Police are defunded but politicians are reimbursed for private security. There is sincere surprise when an open-and-shut case against a high visibility member of the power elite actually results in a jury conviction.  Supreme Court Justices are harassed  not over the law, but ideology, as evidenced by the uproar of the flying of the flag portrayed at the opening of this post. A flag that was commissioned by George Washington in 1775.

·      Academia?  Really?  Presidents of once proud institutions are dismissed for academic fraud (but still are paid their salary).  Rampant DEI has reduced the “work product” of universities to a meaningless commodity that can still be sold for profit to an unprotected public.

·      “Toxic Systemic Antisemitism” rules most college campuses.  Corporations tremble when faced with the Hamas Mafia.

·      We have seen the “purge of the capable” in virtually every field.

·      Elections?  The term “likely voter” is meaningless.  Elections are not about votes at all, only ballots.

·      The nightly newscasts give new meaning to the phrase, “In this country, anybody can grow up to be President”.

·       Euphemisms abound: “Illegal alien” becomes “Newcomer”.

·      “Women’s” sports at least have some validity in the Olympics, but not in US competition.

·      Whistleblowers against the now illegal mutilation of children in the name of “gender affirmation” are the ones being prosecuted, not those who continue to break the law.

·      The Supreme Court can rule against paying off student loans to “buy ballots”, but it is openly defied.

·      “Climate Change” is blamed for everything, but only has application to the United States.

All of these things are connected!  COVID was the push, but now it seems as though the whole edifice is tottering.  Unfortunately, under the Cynefin Framework, the way out of true Chaos is with imposed order, driving everything to the Simple. There, the System controls everything.  The agents’ only choice is to obey.  And the World Economic Forum and World Health Organization are only too glad to supply it.  “You will own nothing and be happy” is their slogan.  “You will eat nothing or you will eat bugs” is the reality.  They salivate at the opportunity for the Great Reset, and most,  like idiotic sheep, seem to be willing to hand it to them.

It does not have to be that way….yet.  We may have time to save the Complex Domain.  It is extremely difficult to back up to the Complex Domain where the System and the Agents are co-dependent. It will take courage, and it will take action. Many institutions will need radical reform. Some will not like it, but that is the price that must be paid.

We have done that once before, 250 years ago.  We took a system that was on the brink of Chaos, where cause and effect were disconnected, and made it work.  Somehow, the system and agents were brought back into balance with a burst of creativity to follow. A few years later, the French tried the same thing.  It didn’t work.  Likewise, Germany ended the chaos of the Weimar Republic in the 1930’s, with even more horrific results.

We MUST learn from what happened in France and Germany. What was the reason they failed and what became the United States succeeded?  Perhaps that is a subject for another  posting…

In any event, November will be an inflection point for this country and the world. If you live in the United States, your vote will never have more meaning…..
