Why do We Celebrate One of the “Seven Deadly Sins” for a Month each Year?
When Does Gluttony Get its Turn?
A few days ago, I received an email from a medical organization to which I used to belong but have not paid dues in years. I had been in a leadership role in that organization and perhaps that is why I still am on their list. The email had a banner stating in no uncertain terms, The xxxxxxx Supports Pride!
They were not talking about the Marine Corps:
Nor were they telling of their admiration for Tarquin the Proud, the last king of Rome who got his position by murdering his mother, elder brother and his predecessor, Servius Tullius:
No, of course they were stating their allegiance to the Rainbow Flag of LGBQT+. I was curious as to why there is such eagerness to bow before this flag when it represents a very small minority of people and has proven to be financially disastrous for a number of large corporations. Indeed, why?
Well, I received the answer in the impactful documentary, What is a Woman? by Matt Walsh which was made freely available to all on Twitter this weekend:

Hopefully, you have seen it. Even more hopefully, it will continue to be available for all as it explores an issue which has impacted all of us, perhaps more than we would like. In a nutshell, Mr. Walsh attempts to find an answer to this simple question. He travels across the country, and indeed the world, asking this question to the vast slice of the population, ranging from medical specialists, to academics, to activists, to just ordinary citizens and even member of the Masai tribe in Africa. Finally, he returns home and asks his wife. I won’t spoil this by telling you her answer, but it is simple and profound.
The academics and politicians dance around the issue with a circular argument: “I woman is somebody who identifies as a woman”. Mr. Walsh persists and tries to find out what exactly that means. The sociologist, pediatrician who makes her living “affirming” the gender of children and the politician abruptly end the interviews, obviously unable to answer the question and resorting to calling Mr. Walsh a transphobe. None of them seem to have any empathy with the women who feel uncomfortable being forced to share a locker room with an “intact” biological male. Nor can they feel the frustration with the female athletes who see a lifetime of training go for nothing because the biological male has such a physical advantage. Some of them go so far as to deny that any physical advantage exists for trans athletes. It is interesting, though, that there does not seem to be any biological female who insists on competing with biological men. The Masai tribe finds the question incredible and so outside of their experience that they can’t comprehend it.
Perhaps the most poignant scenes are with those unfortunate individuals who were not given true informed consent regarding the effects of hormonal and surgical changes that were irreversible. These people seem to be just collateral damage to the activists who make their living in this sector of the medico-economic world. And it is economic as much as medical. One of the individuals states this is the first time that a marginal group in society had so much monetary potential placed on them. That is true, but as we will see, it may not be the only time.
What I found to be the most informative interview was the one with Dr. Miriam Grossman, a psychiatrist from New York. She explains that true gender dysphoria only rarely occurs, from 1 in 30,000 to 1 in 100,000 individuals. When asked why this seems to be so much more widespread than that, she has a one-word answer: “Kinsey”.
Alfred Kinsey is, at the very least, a “controversial” figure. Either he was a trailblazing scientist who may have not been the most tactful of people, as portrayed in Kinsey, the 2004 movie starring Liam Neeson:
or a pioneering pornographer, an activist intent on destroying the Judeo-Christian code of morality that was depicted in The Kinsey Syndrome, the 2008n documentary depicting a decidedly different individual:
To Dr. Grossman, the latter is more true-to-life than the Hollywood version. She adds the activities of John Money, the Johns Hopkins sociologist who coined the terms “gender identity” and “gender role” and founded the Gender Identity Clinic at Johns Hopkins:
He famously studied a pair of male twins, one of whom suffered a horrible accident during circumcision and was raised as a girl after surgical re-assignment, and the other as a boy. David, the twin raised as a girl, recounts his experience:
To me, the answer to why we celebrate “Pride” is rooted in a complex relationship among the “Unholy Trinity” of Big Tech, Big Pharma and Big Politics, with Big Medicine playing the role of the Useful Idiot.
This is not about the money, to me that is clear. Yes, there are millions being made by some physicians and hospitals as well as Big Pharma, but this in no way counterbalances the billions being lost by corporations. As of early June 2023, Anheuser-Busch has lost $27 billion over its Bud Light fiasco:
https://nypost.com/2023/06/02/bud-light-parent-anheuser-buschs-stock-lost-27b-over-dylan-mulvaney/
Target has lost almost half that over its “tuckable children’s swimsuit” debacle:

So, what makes people, particularly academics and academic physicians, so anxious to support this? If money is only a minor consideration, why completely ignore the plight of women who are forced against their will to share a locker room with intact biological males and abrogate any hopes of athletic recognition for their years of effort? Why fail to consider the pleas of those who underwent life-changing medical procedures and now regret it? Why, for this situation, allow minors to make such life altering decisions without true informed consent?
Perhaps the answer can be better understood in looking at the ONLY other situation in which informed consent for medical care has been not only not mandated but criminalized? There is a peculiar intertwining of those who push transgender “affirmation” on children and those who pushed mRNA injections on children who had nothing to gain and everything to lose?
Why indeed? The answer, at least to me, is that these two conditions have ramifications far beyond the medical or even the sociologic considerations. Those ramifications are more in the spiritual dimension. Dr. Grossman understood the real impetus was the destruction of the Judeo-Christian moral fabric of our society. Children are the cannon fodder in a great cosmic struggle and are deemed expendable by adults pushing an agenda.
Unless we understand this, nothing really makes sense. It is time to make a stand. Sitting on the sidelines is no longer an option.
First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a socialist.
Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a trade unionist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.

This is excellent! Thank you!!
